Print Story Amsterdam (Part 1, I suppose)
I should be there in less than 24 hours.  Does anyone have anything they think I have to do in Amsterdam, other than the obvious? (Although feel free to emphasize the obvious anyways if you feel like it).  I'm also curious about cellphones; I don't have any first-hand experience with cells in Europe at all, and I'm going to need one despite only being there two weeks.

Print Story Trolling Radiohead
As most of us likely already know, because news on teh_intarweb travels fast, to promote their upcoming single Radiohead has a remix contest going.  The setup and terms of this contest are so ludicrous in the "this is a parody, right? It's gotta be" sense that it initially hit Digg as an April Fool's Day joke.

All this is just background to help explain why someone would troll Radiohead, and why it is your responsibility--no, your duty--to vote for the troll remix.

Additionally, the guy doing this is absolutely hilarious.

Print Story Just watched SiCKO
I was working during the advance screening my roomate got a double-ticket to, so I figured I was quite justified in downloading that leaked DVD Screener and watching it on my projector.

Favourite part of the movie?  "Thank You Kurt Vonnegut For Everything".

Print Story MFC and BSG
By Phil Urich (Sun Mar 04, 2007 at 11:14:02 PM EST) MFC, Chebyshev, oops, BSG (all tags)
So, I have an MFCX entry, though it won't upload; I'm not surprised by the latest BSG ep's ending though I haven't downloaded it yet.

Inside: uploading weirdness, why my MFC entry sucks in the particular ways that it does, and a poll on which Battlestar Galactica main character should be killed off.

Print Story "and almost completely"

I met someone once who, like me, never expected to lead, when the chips came down, a normally fufilling life.

This is mainly a poll. For some unknown reason, I ramble a bit first.

Print Story linkity link
By Phil Urich (Tue Oct 26, 2004 at 05:13:23 PM EST) (all tags)
Just some interesting links; the wealth of studies flowing over us these days is overwhelming, I tell you!  I now feel buried under the sheer volume of information, rattling off, for example, random factoids like that women average six times greater of a sedation effect from alcohol, while men loose two and a half times more of their inhibition.

Print Story Aha, I knew it

Now, although I wouldn't say anything like, say "Republicans are Evil" ;) I have, on the other hand, maintained for quite some time that CanWest is. And once again, evidence to support my (obvious wrong since all ideas that could be categorized as left wing are) theory! So, CanWest has been doing some rather questionable editing of the stories it gets from Reuters, eh?

Print Story RNC
By Phil Urich (Wed Sep 15, 2004 at 05:58:45 AM EST) (all tags)
This is mainly just a link.  I just figure that anyone who hasn't read anything about it already should learn about the kinds of thing that went on during the Republican National Convention.  Didn't there used to be something like the "right to public assembly?" No, sorry, I apoligize, that was thoughtcrime on my part.
